This is a "before" picture of the landmark Cable Building (built in 1894)
at the corner of Broadway and Houston Street in New York City.
Shown is a picture of four of six storefronts where the original cast iron windows were
gutted out to put in individual (non-matching) polished aluminum and glass storefronts.

This "after" shot of the Cable Building in New York City, taken in December of 2002 shows four
of the six new cast iron storefronts cast and fabricated by Architectural Iron Company.
Historic research and architectural clues provided by other surviving windows provided the
documentation for this New York City Landmarks approved restoration.All details were
faithfully recreated from the originals.

This overall view shows the six cast iron window bays restored by Architectural Iron Company
for New York's Crate and Barrel flagship store.

McGovern & Company, New York City, was the general contractor
for extensive interior renovations and the exterior restoration.
