Two views of one of the two cast iron and glass battleflag cases
Architectural Iron Company constructed for the General Grant National Historic Site,
more commonly called Grant's Tomb.

The originals were destroyed during an earlier misguided modernization.
All that remained was a single blurry photo.

Architectural Iron Company designed the cases and made all patterns and castings
and then performed all shop and field work on these 17 1/2 foot hgh cases.
Each weighs over 4,000 lbs.
